Veterinary Technician
Job description:
As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical procedures. Your expertise will help ensure the health and well-being of pets and other animals in our care. Duties:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
- Assist with the handling and restraint of animals during examinations and treatments.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- A genuine passion for animal care and welfare is essential for success in this role.
